Riverside centre
The densest part of town lies along the river, where streets meet the water and bridges cross to the other side. It is the natural focal point of the composition.

Ximeicun Map Poster & Print
Ximeicun lies in southern Fujian, inland from Quanzhou, in a valley of the Jin River system surrounded by low hills. From above, it reads as a dense urban core along the water. Blocks of housing, older lanes and newer avenues press outward until the ground begins to rise, and bridges and main roads connect it with neighbouring towns across the valley.
The name refers to Ximei, the area that serves as the urban centre of Nan'an, a county-level city under Quanzhou. Like much of southern Fujian, the region has a long tradition of trade and emigration, and many Chinese families in Southeast Asia trace their ancestry to this part of the province. Manufacturing and commerce have driven its recent growth.
A Ximeicun map poster brings out the relationship between river and town. The water provides a clear, curving line, the dense centre forms a strong mass beside it, and the hills around the valley give the edges a softer, irregular outline. The map rewards close looking, especially at larger sizes, where the fine lanes of the older quarters become visible.

Valley setting
Low hills surround the valley floor, and the built-up area spreads along the valley rather than over the slopes. This gives the map an elongated, organic shape.
Old and new blocks
Narrow lanes in the older neighbourhoods sit beside the wider, straighter roads of more recent development. When printed large, the contrast in scale gives the map texture.

Miért Ximeicun?
Egy térkép, ami jelent valamit
Families with roots in Nan'an may still live nearby or may be in Singapore, Manila or Kuala Lumpur, and for all of them a map of the hometown carries real weight. It links where they live now with an ancestral place, and it is easy to share across generations.
Add a family surname, an ancestral village or a date to the title and subtitle, along with the coordinates line. The five styles range from Classic black & white to Blueprint and Sand. It is available as $9 HD files in six sizes or as a matte printed poster.
