Yaowan Map Poster & Print
Yaowan is a town in the north of Jiangsu province, in the Xuzhou area. It grew as a stopping point on the Grand Canal, the long waterway that once carried grain and goods between southern and northern China. On a map, the canal is the defining line, and the older part of town lies close beside it.
The historic streets form a compact, irregular pattern near the water, in contrast to the straighter roads and newer blocks added around them. Beyond the town, flat farmland stretches outward, divided into plots and crossed by smaller channels and lanes. The landscape is almost level, so water and roads provide most of the structure.
A Yaowan map poster shows a canal town in its setting: the broad waterway, the tight old streets and the quiet countryside around them. It suits anyone interested in the history of the Grand Canal, and those with personal ties to this corner of Jiangsu.
