Upper and lower town
The historic core sits on a rise above the valley, and the streets that link it to the lower districts give the map a layered, stepped character.

Zeitz Map Poster & Print
Zeitz lies in the south of Saxony-Anhalt, where the White Elster river cuts through rolling country near the borders with Saxony and Thuringia. The town has a clear upper and lower part. On the map, the old centre sits on higher ground above the river, with its streets closing around market squares, while newer districts spread across the valley floor and surrounding slopes.
For centuries Zeitz was an important ecclesiastical and princely seat. Schloss Moritzburg, a baroque palace, stands beside the cathedral of St. Peter and Paul at the northern edge of the old town. Beneath the streets lies a large network of medieval cellars and passages that can be visited today, a hidden layer that no surface map shows.
A Zeitz map poster brings together the curve of the Elster, the dense upper town, the castle grounds and the looser industrial and residential districts around them. It is a map with depth, even in black and white, because the layout itself reflects how the town climbs from the river to the heights.

Miért Zeitz?
Egy térkép, ami jelent valamit
People who know Zeitz tend to remember its hills, its castle and the view from the upper town across the valley. A map poster keeps that shape in sight, whether for someone who left the region or for someone who has just moved to it.
Add your own title and subtitle, a date or a family name, and adjust the coordinates line. Choose from Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Paper suits the old town well. HD files cost $9, and printed posters ship from partners in over 30 countries.
