Valley floor setting
The town occupies flat ground in a broad basin, so its streets spread evenly instead of bending around slopes, and the hills appear only as a frame at the margins.

Zhangfeng Map Poster & Print
Zhangfeng sits in the far west of Yunnan, in Longchuan County of the Dehong Dai and Jingpo Autonomous Prefecture, only a short distance from the border with Myanmar. On a map the town is a tight cluster of streets laid on level ground, with open farmland around it and ridges rising in the distance. The contrast between the dense centre and the empty valley around it is what defines its outline.
A Zhangfeng map poster turns that contrast into a simple study in black and white. The main roads run fairly straight across the basin floor, and smaller lanes fill the blocks between them. Toward the edges the grid loosens into scattered buildings and field tracks, then gives way to the plain. Because the town is small, the whole settlement fits comfortably on one sheet with room to spare.
Zhangfeng is the seat of Longchuan County and is known for its border crossing, which makes it a point of trade between China and Myanmar. The surrounding region is home to Dai and Jingpo communities, and the warm, low-lying valleys of Dehong are among the most southerly and subtropical parts of Yunnan. On paper these facts stay quiet, but the road leading toward the frontier is clearly visible.

Road to the border
A main road runs from the centre toward the nearby crossing with Myanmar, one of the few long, uninterrupted lines on the map and a reminder of the town's role in trade.
Town edge and fields
At the edges, the dense block pattern thins into single lines and open space. That soft boundary between built-up streets and farmland gives the poster its calm, uncluttered edges.

Miért Zhangfeng?
Egy térkép, ami jelent valamit
For people from Longchuan County, or anyone who has crossed this part of the frontier, the map records a place that rarely shows up in print. It works as a personal keepsake as well as a clean graphic piece for a hallway, study or office wall.
You can personalise the title, the subtitle and the coordinates line, for example with a family name, a year or the date of a journey. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand to match the room it will hang in.
