Al Ḩurshah lies in the Az Zawiyah district of north-western Libya, on the flat strip of land between the Mediterranean and the interior. From above, you see scattered neighbourhoods, walled plots and long roads rather than a single dense centre, a layout typical of settlements on the Tripolitanian coastal plain. The sea is close enough to frame the northern edge of a wider composition.
Because the land is so level, the street network carries the whole picture. Main roads draw firm lines across the sheet, while smaller lanes branch off into irregular blocks and field boundaries. In black and white this reads almost like a textile, with dense patches where houses cluster and open ground where farms take over.
