North Plainfield Map Poster & Print
North Plainfield is a borough in Somerset County, New Jersey, directly north of the city of Plainfield. Green Brook, a stream whose course forms part of the county line, separates the two. On a map, the brook’s winding path makes a clear natural boundary between the two street grids. To the north, the land rises toward the Watchung Mountains.
The borough is mostly residential, with tree-lined streets of older houses laid out in fairly regular blocks. U.S. Route 22 crosses its northern part, a wide commercial corridor that shows up on the map as a strong horizontal line. The Washington Park historic district preserves a group of late nineteenth-century homes from the era when the area grew as a suburb.
A North Plainfield map poster captures how clearly the borough is framed: the brook to the south, the hills to the north, the highway through the middle and a fine grid of residential streets between them. The composition is compact and balanced. It pairs naturally with a Plainfield map for anyone with ties to both sides of the brook.

Route 22 corridor
The multi-lane highway runs across the borough, lined with commercial plots. It is a bold horizontal stroke that separates the older neighbourhoods from the northern slopes.
Watchung foothills
North of the borough the ground rises toward the Watchung Mountains, and the streets there begin to curve with the slope instead of following the grid.
