Contour-following streets
Residential roads bend with the slopes of the hills. They produce interlocking loops and crescents that give the map its distinctive, almost organic rhythm.

Stevenson Ranch Map Poster & Print
Stevenson Ranch is an unincorporated community in northern Los Angeles County, on the western side of the Santa Clarita Valley. It was developed as a master-planned suburb, and the map shows this at once. Streets loop and curl along the contours of the hills and branch into cul-de-sacs, with very few straight lines anywhere in the neighbourhood network.
Interstate 5 runs along its eastern edge as a heavy straight line, in contrast to the soft, organic pattern of the homes. Beyond the houses, the undeveloped slopes of the surrounding hills leave large empty spaces on the map that help define the community's outline. The name recalls the ranch land from which the community was developed in the late twentieth century.
A Stevenson Ranch map poster looks quite different from a traditional city map. The winding loops read almost like a fingerprint or a topographic drawing, and the result is striking in Noir or Blueprint. It is a good choice for anyone who wants their neighbourhood on the wall without the visual noise of a dense urban grid.

Interstate 5 edge
The freeway runs along the eastern side of the community as a firm, straight band. It clearly separates Stevenson Ranch from the rest of the valley.
Open hillsides
Unbuilt slopes around the neighbourhoods appear as broad blank areas. They frame the housing tracts and emphasise how the community sits among the hills.
