Aley Map Poster
Aley sits in the Mount Lebanon range southeast of Beirut, at an elevation that has made it a traditional summer retreat from the heat of the coast. The Beirut–Damascus road passes nearby, and from above the town's streets follow the contours of the hills in long, looping curves rather than any straight grid.
For much of the twentieth century Aley was known as a summer resort, with hotels, villas and cafés drawing visitors from Beirut and the wider region. Pine woods cover much of the surrounding slopes, and villages are scattered along the ridges between steep valleys.
An Aley map poster is all about terrain expressed through roads. Switchbacks, winding lanes and ridge-top routes create a flowing, organic pattern that feels very different from coastal Lebanese cities, and it reads beautifully in fine black lines.
