Anápolis Map Poster & Print
Anápolis sits on the high plateau of central Goiás, roughly halfway between Goiânia and Brasília. That position explains most of its shape. Major federal highways meet here, and the city grew along them. From above, several large grids meet at slight angles, each following the slope or the route it was laid out beside, and they are stitched together by wide avenues.
On the map, two large features stand apart from the residential grids. One is DAIA, the agro-industrial district, a zone of big rectangular plots that has made the city a centre for pharmaceutical manufacturing and logistics. The other is Anápolis Air Base, home to Brazilian Air Force fighter squadrons. Its runway draws a long, clean line that is easy to spot on an Anápolis map poster.
Between these zones the city is fairly even: low-rise blocks, squares and gently rolling ground typical of the cerrado plateau. Small streams have left winding green strips through the grid, and the roads towards the two capitals leave the city as straight lines across open country.
