‘Ar‘ara BaNegev is a Bedouin town in Israel's Southern District. It lies in the northern Negev, in the region between Beersheba and Dimona. It is one of the towns planned by the state for the Negev Bedouin population. That origin shows clearly on a map: its layout is more deliberate than an old village that grew up over time.
