Aţ Ţaraf is a town in the Al-Ahsa oasis of Saudi Arabia's Eastern Province, one of the largest natural oases in the world. It lies on the eastern side of the oasis, where cultivated land and settlements meet the surrounding desert. From above, its map combines town blocks with the green patchwork of palm groves and farms.
The street network is a mix of older, irregular lanes and newer, more regular residential districts, bounded by main roads connecting it to neighbouring villages and to the city of Al-Hofuf.
