The Tapajós
The river here is so wide that it looks more like a lake than a stream. On the poster it takes up much of the frame as one bold, calm shape.

Aveiro Map Poster & Print
Aveiro is on the bank of the Tapajós, one of the great clear-water tributaries of the Amazon, and on the map the river is far larger than the town. A short grid of streets runs back from the waterfront, then the land turns to forest and clearings. The broad sweep of the river fills much of the frame.
The municipality is best known for Fordlândia, the rubber plantation town that Henry Ford built in the late 1920s. It had American-style houses, a hospital and a water tower, but the rubber project failed within a few years. Its remains are still standing upriver, within Aveiro's territory.
An Aveiro map poster balances a small human settlement against an immense river. The streets appear as a fine, compact pattern on the shore, and the Tapajós spreads across the poster as a calm expanse. It is a simple image with a lot of space in it.

Waterfront grid
Aveiro's short grid of streets starts at the river's edge, the classic pattern of Amazon river towns where the waterfront was the main road.
Forest edge
Behind the town, the street pattern ends quickly and gives way to tracks and clearings, marking where the settlement meets the forest.

Aveiroを選ぶ理由
想いが詰まった地図
It is a meaningful map for people from Aveiro and the lower Tapajós, and for travellers who came upriver to see Fordlândia. The composition feels open and restful, which suits a quiet wall.
You can personalize the title, subtitle and coordinates line, and choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Blueprint gives the river a particularly clear, cool look.
