Baddomalhi is a town in Narowal District, in the northeast of Pakistan's Punjab, not far from the border with India. The land here is flat and heavily farmed, part of the wide plain watered by the rivers of the Punjab. From above, the town is a compact, dense settlement in the middle of a fine grid of field boundaries.
The centre follows the pattern of many Punjabi market towns: narrow streets packed closely around a bazaar, with houses built wall to wall. Main roads run out toward nearby towns and villages, and newer building has grown along them. Irrigation channels and field edges add straight lines across the countryside.
