Bade is a district of Taoyuan in northern Taiwan, on the east bank of the Dahan River. On a map, the river is the main natural feature along its edge, with a broad bed and gravel banks. On the other side, the district spreads over the Taoyuan tableland in a mix of dense streets, industrial plots and open land.
The Taoyuan area is known for its many irrigation ponds, built over centuries to store water on this relatively dry plateau. On the map they appear as small, rounded shapes scattered among the streets and fields. Main roads and expressways cross the district and connect it to Taoyuan city and Taipei.
