Bhāyāvadar is a town in the Rajkot district of Gujarat, on the Saurashtra peninsula. The surrounding landscape is broad and fairly flat, with cotton and groundnut fields and occasional low rises. From above, the town forms a compact cluster, and roads run out across the plain toward neighbouring towns.
Like many Saurashtra towns, it has an older centre of tightly packed streets surrounded by newer housing and wider roads. Seasonal rivers cross the region and fill mainly during the monsoon. Their dry beds can still be seen on the map as winding lines through the fields.
