Bidhūna lies in Auraiya district in western Uttar Pradesh, on the wide alluvial plain between the Ganges and the Yamuna. The land here is almost completely flat, so the map is shaped by roads, field boundaries and settlement rather than by hills or coastline. The town forms a dense knot of streets where regional roads meet, with farmland stretching away on every side.
Like many towns on the plain, Bidhūna works as a local centre for the surrounding villages, and the map reflects this: roads radiate outward from the centre towards smaller settlements, each marked by its own small cluster of lanes. Between them lie the open fields of one of India's most intensively farmed regions, crossed here and there by canals and minor watercourses.
