The reservoir
The dammed Paraíba River forms a wide lake with long, branching arms. On the poster its edge reads as an irregular white shape among the surrounding lines.

Boqueirão Map Poster & Print
From above, Boqueirão is a small, tightly packed grid of streets in the semi-arid Cariri region of Paraíba. The built area sits close to open, lightly settled land, where rural roads fan out across the dry plateau. On a black-and-white map, the dense core and the empty country around it make a clear, simple contrast.
The main feature on the map is the Epitácio Pessoa reservoir, often just called the Boqueirão dam, which holds back the Paraíba River. Its water surface spreads through valleys in irregular fingers and inlets. The reservoir is one of the most important in the state and supplies Campina Grande and other nearby towns.
A Boqueirão map poster frames the town and its water together. The small street pattern sits against the wide, ragged outline of the lake, and dirt roads and field boundaries fill the space between them. The result is spare and graphic, and it says a lot about how people and water depend on each other in the sertão.

Compact town grid
The town's streets make a dense, mostly regular block pattern. Its edges end quickly, and beyond them lies open semi-arid land.
Rural road network
Thin roads and tracks run out from the town across the Cariri plateau and link scattered farms and settlements in loose, wandering lines.

想いが詰まった地図
People who grew up near the reservoir or have family in the Cariri hang this map because it captures the place simply. The town and its water are drawn together as one image.
Add a family name, a date or the town's coordinates to the title lines. Then choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Buy it as a $9 HD download, or order a matte print with an optional wooden frame.
