Town centre
The older streets gather around a central square and church. Seen from above, they form a compact, orderly core within the more scattered outskirts.

Boquim Map Poster & Print
Boquim lies in the interior of Sergipe in north-eastern Brazil, in gently rolling country between the coast and the drier sertão further inland. The town has a clear centre around its main square and church. Streets run downhill from there, and the edges of town soon give way to farmland.
The municipality is known for its oranges, and it is one of the main citrus-growing areas in a state where orange farming is important. Around the town, orchards, smallholdings and farm tracks form a fine patchwork, crossed by small streams winding through the valleys.
A Boquim map poster shows this relationship between town and countryside. In monochrome, the central streets form a tight cluster. Roads spread out to neighbouring towns, and the rural pattern of plots and watercourses fills the space around them. It is a calm image of a working agricultural town in north-east Brazil.

Citrus country
Orchards and farm plots cover much of the land around town, reflecting Boquim's association with oranges. Their field boundaries create a fine, even texture on the map.
Valley streams
Small streams run through shallow valleys around the town. Their thin, winding lines add movement to the rural edges of the composition.
