Boriziny Map Poster & Print
Boriziny, also known by its older name Port-Bergé, is a town in the Sofia region of northwestern Madagascar. On a map it appears as a modest, compact settlement beside the main road that crosses the region. A small grid of streets forms the centre, and a looser pattern of paths and tracks fans out into the surrounding farmland and river country.
The Sofia region is largely agricultural, and much of the land around the town is given over to fields that depend on the rivers and seasonal rains of the northwest. Boriziny serves as a local centre for trade and administration, and the road through it links this part of the island with towns further north and south.
