Bouca is a sub-prefecture town in the Ouham-Fafa prefecture of the Central African Republic, a region named after two of its rivers. The town is small and low-rise. On a map it appears as a short network of streets around a central crossing, with tracks leading out into the surrounding savanna and woodland toward neighbouring settlements.
Because the built-up area is modest, the setting matters as much as the streets. Watercourses wind through the countryside, and the roads out of town follow the easiest ground between them. A wider frame shows how remote the place is, with long stretches of open land between Bouca and the next towns along each route.
