Hillside setting
Bubanza rests on the foothills above the Imbo lowlands, so roads bend with the terrain and the street pattern loosens as it moves away from the centre.

Bubanza Map Poster
Bubanza is the capital of the province of the same name in north-western Burundi. It sits in hilly country at the edge of the Imbo lowlands, where the land falls away toward the Rusizi valley and the northern end of Lake Tanganyika. On the map the town appears as a modest network of streets around administrative buildings, schools and a market, surrounded by cultivated slopes.
The province is largely rural, and the land around the town is farmed intensively, with rice grown on the flatter ground below and smallholdings on the hillsides. Bubanza lies within reach of Bujumbura, and roads link it both to the capital's plain and to communes further inland, making it an administrative and market centre for the surrounding hills.
A Bubanza map poster brings out the interplay between the small street pattern and the land it rests on. Winding roads trace the contours, the centre forms a neat cluster, and the open areas around it hint at the slopes and valleys that define this corner of Burundi.

Administrative core
As a provincial capital the town has a compact centre of offices, schools and a market, which forms the most regular and legible part of the map.
Roads to the plain
Routes descend from Bubanza toward the Rusizi plain and Bujumbura, and on the poster they read as long, curving lines leaving the frame toward the south and west.

Bubanzaを選ぶ理由
想いが詰まった地図
For Burundians abroad, health and development workers who spent time in the province, or families with roots in the Bubanza hills, this is a rare chance to own a clear, well-drawn map of the town. It records a personal geography that few printed maps ever show.
Give it your own title, subtitle and date, and keep the coordinates line or change it. Choose a style, Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand, and receive HD files ready for six print sizes, or order a printed poster.
