Canovelles Map Poster & Print
Canovelles is a municipality in the Vallès Oriental comarca of Catalonia, directly north of Granollers. The two towns almost merge on the map. The dividing line is set by the Congost river and its corridor, and Canovelles spreads up the slopes on its side of the valley, with hills and woodland beyond.
The town grew rapidly in the second half of the twentieth century, so much of its layout is made up of residential blocks and streets fitted to the rising ground rather than a medieval core. That gives the map a distinctive mix of dense housing, winding roads on the slopes and green edges where building stops.
