Chignahuapan Map Poster & Print
Chignahuapan sits in the Sierra Norte of Puebla at around 2,200 metres, among pine-covered hills. It is one of Mexico's Pueblos Mágicos. The centre follows the classic colonial plan: a main square with an ornate kiosk and a parish church, with streets running out from it in a grid that bends where the ground rises.
The town is widely known for making Christmas tree spheres. Hundreds of workshops produce hand-blown and painted glass ornaments, and a large fair takes place every autumn. Visitors also come for the nearby thermal springs, and for the basilica housing a very large carved wooden image of the Virgin of the Immaculate Conception.
On a Chignahuapan map poster, the orderly centre contrasts with the loose, winding roads leading into the sierra. A small lagoon on the edge of town adds a patch of open water. The result is a mountain town that is compact at the core and more open toward the pine-covered hills.

A small lagoon lies at the edge of the town. Its rounded outline adds an open shape to the composition and draws visitors to the waterfront.
Sierra roads
Outside the grid, roads curve along valleys and hillsides toward nearby hamlets and the hot springs. This creates flowing lines on the edges of the poster.
