Chindumbo is a place in the interior of Benguela Province in Angola, inland from the Atlantic coast, where the land rises towards the central highlands. From above, the built-up area is modest and loosely arranged. Streets and tracks connect clusters of homes, and the settlement fades gradually into the surrounding countryside rather than ending at a sharp edge.
Mapping of places like this is often still being filled in, so the poster reflects what is recorded: the main roads, the smaller paths between them, and the pattern of homes and plots along them.
