Churi lies in Jharkhand, on the Chota Nagpur Plateau, a landscape of low hills, patches of forest and river valleys long shaped by coal mining. From above, the settlement is not one compact town. It is a group of clusters linked by roads, with colliery areas, housing and older villages spread across rolling ground.
That dispersed form gives a Churi map poster an unusual texture. Instead of one dense centre, the frame shows several knots of streets joined by winding roads, with streams cutting across the plateau and open or wooded land between them. The irregular pattern reflects how mining towns grow: around resources rather than around a single square.
