Conceição do Jacuípe is a town in the state of Bahia, in the northeast of Brazil, not far from the regional hub of Feira de Santana. Seen from above it is a modest, legible place: a central core of short blocks, a few longer avenues carrying traffic in and out, and an edge that gives way quickly to fields, fenced pasture and scattered farm roads.
Like many towns in the interior of Bahia, its centre is organised around a main street and a handful of squares, with newer neighbourhoods added around them over time. The resulting pattern mixes a fairly regular grid near the middle with looser streets at the margins, where building followed land parcels and the lie of the terrain rather than a single plan.
