Cuímba is a town in Zaire Province, in the far north of Angola, not far from the border with the Democratic Republic of the Congo. It acts as a local centre for a large rural municipality. On a map, the town is a modest cluster of streets surrounded by rolling, green countryside.
The layout is simple, with a main road running through the town and a small network of streets branching off it. Beyond the built-up area, tracks lead outward to villages and farmland. The balance of settlement and open land defines the character of the map.
