Dāsna sits in Ghaziabad district, on the flat Gangetic plain east of Delhi. From above, its older core appears as a dense, irregular mass of narrow lanes and closely packed buildings, the kind of pattern that grows over centuries rather than being drawn. Around it, newer colonies and scattered developments push outward along the main roads into the fields.
The strongest lines on the map are modern. Major highways and expressways sweep past the town, and their interchanges form wide loops and ramps that look almost like technical drawings next to the tight grain of the old settlement.
