Gil Map Poster & Print
Gil lies just south of Ludhiana in Punjab, in the flat, fertile plain that has made the region one of India's agricultural heartlands. On a map, the settlement sits at the meeting point of two patterns: the compact, irregular lanes of an older village core and the straighter streets of newer housing that has grown as Ludhiana has expanded outward.
Main roads connect Gil with the city to the north and with surrounding towns and villages, and much of the newer development follows those routes. Beyond the built edge, the land opens into fields divided by narrow tracks and irrigation channels, a regular geometry that frames the town on every side.
A Gil map poster shows a place in transition between village and urban fringe. That mix makes an interesting image: dense clusters of streets, looser residential blocks and the quiet grid of agricultural plots all sit within one frame. In black and white, the different textures of the map become easy to compare.
