Graneros Map Poster & Print
Graneros lies in the O'Higgins Region of central Chile, a short distance north of Rancagua. Its name means granaries, a fitting reference to the agricultural valley around it. The land is flat and fertile, with the Andes to the east and the coastal range to the west, and on a map the town appears as a regular grid set in a wide expanse of cultivated fields.
The Pan-American Highway, Chile's main north–south route, passes close by, and its straight course sets the axis for the whole region. A Graneros map poster shows the town's streets beside that long line, along with the railway and the roads leading to Rancagua and Santiago, a picture of a town placed along the country's central spine.
Around the town, orchards, vineyards and farm plots are divided into long rectangles by irrigation channels and rural roads. The pattern is typical of Chile's Central Valley and very graphic when rendered in black and white. The result is a clean, orderly map, with the town's grid in the middle and the geometry of agriculture on every side.
