Harbour and marina
The redeveloped harbour creates a sheltered basin in the middle of the shoreline, the main break in the long, straight edge of the coast.

Greystones Map Poster & Print
Greystones lies on the east coast of County Wicklow, south of Bray and within commuting distance of Dublin. From above, the town follows the coastline, with the railway running close to the sea, a newer harbour and marina at its centre, and housing estates spreading inland toward the foothills. The Great Sugar Loaf, a cone-shaped peak, rises a short way to the west.
The town grew as a fishing village and developed after the railway arrived in the nineteenth century. Greystones is now the southern terminus of the DART suburban line. The cliff walk to Bray follows the edge of Bray Head along the coast and is one of the most popular walks in the Dublin area.
A Greystones map poster shows the relationship between the sea, the railway and the hills. The coast forms a clear eastern edge, the tracks follow it and the streets spread inland toward the higher ground. The harbour breaks the shoreline with its sheltered basin. It is a simple but satisfying composition, suited to the calm of the monochrome style.

Coastal railway
The DART and main line run close to the sea, a firm line on the map that links the town north to Bray and Dublin.
Bray Head cliff walk
North of the town, the path follows the cliffs around Bray Head, where the map shows the land rising steeply from the water.
