Grugliasco sits on the western edge of Turin, so closely joined to the city and to neighbouring Collegno that on a map the boundaries are almost invisible. Streets continue from one municipality to the next without a break, and the pattern of blocks, avenues and rail lines reads as one continuous urban fabric stretching toward the Alps.
The ground here is the level plain of Piedmont, which gives the street plan a calm, ordered quality.
