Hejing Map Poster & Print
Hejing is the seat of Hejing County in the Bayingolin Mongol Autonomous Prefecture of Xinjiang. The town lies on the northern side of the Yanqi basin, where the Kaidu River leaves the Tian Shan and flows across the plain toward Bosten Lake, one of China's largest inland freshwater lakes.
From above, the town is a fairly regular grid of wide streets and large blocks, typical of planned county towns across the region, surrounded by irrigated farmland that forms an oasis in an otherwise arid landscape. The county stretches far into the mountains and includes the Bayanbulak grassland, known for its winding river and swans.
A Hejing map poster shows the precise geometry of a planned town set in open country. Straight roads and field boundaries contrast with the river's braided channels nearby, and the mountains' presence is felt in the emptiness to the north. It is a clean, orderly composition with a strong sense of space.

Kaidu River
The Kaidu flows past the town on its way to Bosten Lake. Its wide, braided course forms a natural counterpoint to the straight streets.
Irrigated oasis
Fields fed by the river surround the town in a patchwork of rectangles. The pattern fades into open arid land further out.

Hejingを選ぶ理由
想いが詰まった地図
For people from Hejing, or travellers who passed through on the way to Bayanbulak, this map records a place far from most maps' attention. Its clarity suits a modern, minimal interior.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, in Chinese, Mongolian, Uyghur or English, and choose one of five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Sand suits the oasis setting especially well.
