Hillcrest Heights is in Prince George's County, Maryland, just across the boundary from southeast Washington. On a map, the District's diagonal edge cuts cleanly along one side. Branch Avenue runs through the community as a wide, straight road leading out of the city toward southern Maryland, and it is the strongest line on the page.
