Colonial grid
The centre is laid out in regular blocks around the main plaza, the classic Spanish plan, and appears as a clear pattern at the heart of the poster.

Huanta Map Poster & Print
Huanta is a town in the Ayacucho region of Peru's central highlands, north of the city of Ayacucho. It lies in a fertile valley surrounded by mountains, and its green, mild setting has earned it the nickname "the Emerald of the Andes".
From above, the town follows the Spanish colonial pattern: a regular grid of blocks around a central plaza, with streets running straight until the slopes stop them. Beyond the grid, roads switch back up the mountainsides, and farm terraces and fields cover the valley floor.
A Huanta map poster shows how a highland town fits into its landscape. The orderly centre is framed by irregular mountain roads and the lines of streams coming down from the heights. The contrast between the planned grid and the wild terrain makes a strong composition.

Switchback roads
Roads leaving the valley zigzag up the mountain slopes and add sharp, angular lines around the town.
Valley farmland
Fields and small streams fill the valley floor and give the edges of the map a fine, textured pattern.

Huantaを選ぶ理由
想いが詰まった地図
Huanta is a strong point of identity for people from Ayacucho, many of whom now live in Lima or abroad. A map of the town is a proud and personal reminder of home.
Add a title, a subtitle such as a family name or a year, and keep the coordinates line. Choose among Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Paper suits the colonial grid well.
