Indralaya Map Poster & Print
Indralaya is the seat of Ogan Ilir Regency in South Sumatra, about thirty-five kilometres south of Palembang. The land here is low and flat, shaped by rivers, seasonal swamps and lakes. On the map the town appears as a set of settlements strung along the main roads and waterways rather than a single dense core.
The town is best known as the home of the main campus of Sriwijaya University, one of the largest state universities on Sumatra. The campus covers a large area on the edge of town, with its own roads, buildings and open land. It gives Indralaya a character quite different from the rural districts around it.
An Indralaya map poster shows how settlement follows the water and the road in the lowlands of South Sumatra. The linear pattern of houses, the open expanse of the campus and the irregular shapes of swamp and river make an unusual and calm composition, especially in Blueprint or Paper.
