Isleworth Map Poster & Print
Isleworth lies on the north bank of the Thames in the London Borough of Hounslow, across the river from the Old Deer Park and the gardens at Kew. On a map, the river forms its eastern edge, curving past the old riverside village with a small island, Isleworth Ait, sitting in the stream just offshore.
To the north, the large green expanse of Syon Park, with Syon House at its heart, takes up a whole block of the map between the town and Brentford. Smaller waterways also run through the area, including the River Crane and the Duke of Northumberland's River. The older streets gather near the riverfront, and later suburban roads spread inland toward Hounslow.
An Isleworth map poster is defined by its greenery and water: the Thames bend, the island, the parkland and the fine thread of the smaller rivers. The dense grid of west London fills the rest of the frame and makes the open spaces stand out even more.
