Jhālāwār Map Poster & Print
Jhālāwār lies in the Hadoti region of southeastern Rajasthan, a greener, better-watered corner of the state than the desert west. The town grew around the Garh Palace, a fort-palace near the centre, and on the map its streets gather around that walled core before spreading outward in newer neighbourhoods.
Just to the south is Jhalrapatan, an older sister town with its own dense street pattern and a lake nearby. The two form a linked pair along the main road. Jhalrapatan is known for its medieval temples, including the Sun Temple, whose spire rises above the rooftops of the old town.
A short distance northeast stands Gagron Fort, at the meeting of the Ahu and Kali Sindh rivers, with water guarding it on three sides. It is one of the Hill Forts of Rajasthan listed together as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. A Jhālāwār map poster places the palace town, its twin and the river fort in one frame.

Twin town pairing
Jhālāwār and Jhalrapatan lie close together along the road, two distinct street clusters that read on the map as a single linked settlement.
Gagron's river moat
At the confluence of two rivers, Gagron Fort sits almost surrounded by water, a rare natural moat that is easy to see from above.

Jhālāwārを選ぶ理由
想いが詰まった地図
The map works for anyone who grew up in Hadoti, studied in the town or travelled to see its forts and temples. It shows the relationship between palace, twin town and river fort, something that is hard to see from the ground.
The title can use either spelling of the name, with the subtitle holding a date or a dedication and the coordinates line adjusted as you like. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Paper gives the scene a softer, archival feel.
