Dense old centre
The heart of town is a tight cluster of lanes. At poster scale it appears as a darker, finely textured patch, the natural focal point of the composition.

Jodhpur Map Poster & Print
This Jodhpur is not the well-known desert city in Rajasthan but a much smaller place in Gujarat, on the Saurashtra peninsula. From above it has a modest, practical form. A compact centre of closely packed lanes sits at the middle, a few main roads lead out toward neighbouring towns, and farmland stretches away on every side.
As in many Saurashtra towns, the oldest streets are dense and irregular, while newer housing spreads along the main roads in looser blocks. That contrast gives the map its texture. Beyond the last houses, tracks and field boundaries divide the land into parcels, drawn as faint lines around the town and fading toward the edges of the sheet.
Farming is central to the region, and groundnut and cotton are among Saurashtra's important crops. A Jodhpur map poster from Gujarat is a personal piece rather than a travel souvenir. It places a hometown or a family's roots precisely on the wall, with the town's own name and coordinates.

Radiating roads
A handful of roads lead out from the centre toward nearby settlements, giving the map a simple star-like structure against the open land.
Surrounding fields
Farm tracks and field boundaries fill the edges of the sheet with light, irregular lines, placing the town firmly within the farming landscape of Saurashtra.

Jodhpurを選ぶ理由
想いが詰まった地図
Many families from Saurashtra now live in Ahmedabad, Mumbai, London or further afield, and a small town like this rarely appears in shops. A map of its streets keeps a precise record of home that anyone who knows it will recognise.
Add a title in your own words, perhaps a family name or a date, and use the coordinates line to tell it apart from the Jodhpur in Rajasthan. Choose one of five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Download HD files for $9, or order a print.
