Kaeng Khro is a district in Chaiyaphum Province, in the northeastern region of Thailand known as Isan. It sits on the Khorat Plateau, a broad, mostly flat landscape, and on a map the district town appears as a small, well-defined grid surrounded by rice paddies, ponds and scattered villages.
The main roads run through the centre and connect it with the provincial capital and neighbouring districts, while smaller lanes branch off into residential streets and toward the fields. Temples and schools occupy larger plots, visible as open spaces within the fabric of the town.
