Kahna Nau lies on the southern outskirts of Lahore in Pakistan's Punjab. It sits along the main road that runs south from the city toward the Indian border region. From above the place is flat and closely built, with a core of tight lanes and new housing spreading into what was, until recently, open agricultural land.
The ground here is the level plain of central Punjab, so the map has no hills to bend the streets. Instead, its pattern comes from roads, older village cores and newer planned blocks. Fields and irrigation lines still show between built areas, and the edge between town and farmland moves outward year by year as Lahore grows.
