Karlebo Map Poster & Print
Karlebo is an area of North Zealand in Denmark. It takes its name from an old village with a medieval church, and the former municipality of the same name also covered the growing towns of Kokkedal and Nivå, closer to the coast. The landscape is gentle: farmland, woods and small lakes, with the Øresund a short distance to the east.
On a map, the contrast between the parts is clear. The old village remains a small cluster of farms and houses among fields. Towards the coast, residential areas built from the twentieth century onward are laid out in curving streets, along with a railway line and main roads running north towards Helsingør and south towards Copenhagen.
