Karori Map Poster & Print
Karori lies in a valley west of central Wellington, reached through a short road tunnel and over the hills from the city. It is one of the largest suburbs in New Zealand, and the map shows a long main road running along the valley floor with residential streets climbing the slopes on either side.
At the city end of the valley, the Zealandia ecosanctuary occupies the catchment of the old Karori reservoirs, protected by a predator-proof fence and home to native birds reintroduced to the mainland. Karori Cemetery, one of the country's oldest large cemeteries, fills another green area near the suburb's eastern edge.
A Karori map poster captures the suburb's valley shape and its generous green spaces. The winding hillside streets, the straight line of the main road and the large open area of the sanctuary give the composition a strong structure that is instantly recognisable to anyone who knows Wellington.

Karori Road
The main road runs along the valley floor as the suburb's backbone, with shops and side streets branching off toward the hills on both sides.
Hillside streets
Residential roads climb and curve up the valley slopes, their winding lines reflecting the steep terrain typical of Wellington's western suburbs.

Karoriを選ぶ理由
想いが詰まった地図
Karori is where many Wellington families have lived for decades, walked the sanctuary tracks and caught the bus through the tunnel. A poster of the valley suits a home here or a household that has moved overseas.
Add a title of your choice, a subtitle with a date or street name, and keep the coordinates line. Pick from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand.
