Kirumba is a town in North Kivu in the eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo, set in the uplands of Lubero territory. The region is hilly and fertile, and much of the land around the town is farmed in small plots on the slopes and valley floors.
From above, Kirumba follows the main road that runs through this part of the province. Commercial streets gather along that axis, and residential lanes branch off into the surrounding hills. The pattern is informal and responsive to the terrain, with paths bending around slopes and joining in irregular junctions. Outside the centre, the map becomes a mosaic of fields and scattered homesteads.
