Main road axis
The principal road through Kolaboui is the backbone of the map, with most streets and buildings arranged along it rather than in a planned grid.

Kolaboui Map Poster & Print
Kolaboui lies in the Boké Region of western Guinea, in the lowland belt between the Atlantic coast and the interior plateaus. On a map it appears as a settlement stretched along its main road, with side streets and footpaths reaching into the surrounding land. Beyond the built-up area the plan opens quickly into vegetation, streams and the river channels typical of this part of the coast.
The Boké Region is best known as the heart of Guinea's bauxite industry, with mining and transport activity across the wider area. Kolaboui itself is a local centre for trade and farming, serving nearby villages. The pattern of the town reflects that role: a road that carries traffic through, and a looser fabric of homes and plots on either side.
A Kolaboui map poster is a record of a place that rarely appears on printed maps at all. In clean black lines the town's main axis, its informal lanes and the rivers of the lowlands become a composed image, personal to anyone with family or work ties to this corner of Guinea.

Informal lanes
Side streets and paths branch irregularly from the main road, giving the plan a loose, organic texture that looks quite different from a gridded town.
Lowland waterways
Streams and river channels of the coastal lowlands wind through the surrounding land, appearing as thin curving lines toward the edges of the poster.
