The Godavari River
The wide river fills much of the map, its broad surface and sandbanks forming a striking shape in black and white opposite Rajahmundry.

Kovvūr Map Poster & Print
Kovvūr lies on the west bank of the Godavari River in Andhra Pradesh, directly opposite the city of Rajahmundry. On a map the wide river dominates the composition, with the town stretched along the bank and the long bridges crossing the water toward the city on the other side.
The river crossings here are a well-known part of the landscape: several road and rail bridges span the Godavari between Kovvūr and Rajahmundry, including the Godavari Arch Bridge and the older Havelock Bridge, now out of service. The Godavari is also sacred, and bathing ghats along the river play an important role during festivals.
A Kovvūr map poster captures the drama of a town facing a great river. The broad water surface, the parallel lines of the bridges and the streets lining the bank create a bold composition. Inland, fields and canals of the delta add a softer, more detailed texture.

Road and rail bridges
Several long bridges cross the river toward Rajahmundry, forming parallel lines across the water, one of the most recognisable features of the area.
Riverside streets
The town's streets follow the bank, with ghats and roads close to the water, before giving way to canals and farmland further inland.
