Lakeside Map Poster & Print
Lakeside is an unincorporated community in eastern San Diego County, about twenty miles inland from the coast. It lies in a broad valley surrounded by dry, chaparral-covered hills. From above, the older centre sits around Lindo Lake, a small lake in a county park that gives the community its name, with residential streets spreading across the valley floor.
The San Diego River runs through the southern part of the area, and State Route 67 heads north from here towards Ramona. Much of Lakeside keeps a semi-rural character, with larger lots, horse properties and winding roads in the hills. The community is also known for its annual rodeo, a reminder of its ranching past.
