Libon is a municipality in the northwestern part of Albay province, in the Bicol Region of Luzon. Seen from above, it is mostly rural land: a modest town centre with a compact grid, then roads that thread outward through rice fields and past clusters of houses belonging to the surrounding barangays.
The lowlands here are shaped by water, with streams and wetlands draining across the plain, and the area lies close to the lakes of the Bicol basin. The road pattern follows this landscape, bending along field edges and river courses rather than running in strict straight lines.
