The Loimijoki
The river winds through the open land around the town. It is the softest, most irregular line on a map that is otherwise ordered by fields and roads.

Loimaa Map Poster & Print
Loimaa lies in Southwest Finland, inland from Turku. Much of Finland is forest and lake, but this area is open, cultivated plain, and the map shows that difference straight away. The town is a compact cluster where roads and the railway meet. Around it, broad field parcels stretch out, cut by the winding line of the Loimijoki river.
The town grew around its railway station, and the tracks still divide the centre on the map. On one side you see a small grid of commercial streets. Residential areas spread outward in loose, low-density blocks. Farther out, the farmland dominates, divided into long strips and rectangles by field boundaries and ditches.
A Loimaa map poster gives an unusual Finnish view: not coves and islands but open land ordered by agriculture. The river supplies the one organic curve, the railway a firm straight line, and the town a small area of density in between. The result is spare and well balanced, a good fit for a Nordic room.

The railway spine
The line through Loimaa cuts straight across the centre. The station area has always been the town's focal point, and it anchors the composition.
Open field plain
Around the town, long agricultural parcels form a quiet pattern of strips and blocks, which is unusual for Finland and striking in black and white.
