Malema Map Poster & Print
Malema lies in the interior of Nampula province in northern Mozambique, in a landscape of rolling land, farmland and rocky outcrops. On a map the town appears as a modest cluster of streets gathered along the railway line and the main road, with small settlements scattered across the surrounding countryside.
The railway linking the port of Nacala with the interior passes through Malema, and the town grew as a stop along this route. The wider region of Nampula province is known for its dramatic granite inselbergs, isolated rock domes that rise sharply above the surrounding plains.
A Malema map poster shows how a small railway town sits within a broad rural landscape. The straight line of the tracks, the compact centre and the loose network of paths and roads beyond create a quiet, open composition. It is a personal memento for people from this part of Mozambique.
